The Liberty Cruise
With a ship called „Sovereign at Sea“ on the ocean far away from any government, the Liberty Cruise offers unique opportunities to feel free. Together with fellow libertarians we want to use the 8 days on board to share ideas, discuss opportunities, learn about liberty, get to know everyone and have a lot of fun.
If there will be a formal programm, is depending on the numbers of libertarians joining our event. However, even with few people there are great opportunities. The cruise has huge popularity with the digital nomad community – a bunch of people generally inclined towards liberty as well! This makes for great networking opportunities for all who want to start living the perpetual traveler lifestyle!
To be part of the Liberty Cruise, better be fast: Cabins sell out rapidly – so you have to decide quickly!
Travel information
Starting in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain and finishing in Salvador, Brazil, you might ask how much you have to pay to get there!
From Europe, flying to Las Palmas is easy. As it is winter and low season, both Easyjet and Ryanair offer very cheap flights to the island. Costs are as low as 30€ from Spain, 50€ from Germany and England. Use Skyscanner with showing all november prices to find the best deal!
Flying back from Brazil is obviously more expensive. Direct flights from Salvador are possible, but relatively expensive. Better just combine the cruise with some vacations in Brazil, going either north to Recife, Fortaleza and Co. or south to Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo.
The best flights back to Europe are around December 8-12, departing either Rio or Sao Paolo and costing around 330€ to UK or Germany. But there also deals like Fortaleza-Milan, Italy for just 264€ – and the upcoming months may see even more. Click here to get the best flights.
You don’t have to fly home, of course. With summer season approaching on the southern hemisphere, it is a great time going south to Uruguay, Argentina and Chile and discover regions like Patagonia. Or just fly elsewhere!
More things to consider
Internet? Yes, there is internet, but it is probably slow and expensive. Prices start at 0,20€ per minute! 250 minutes: 50€ / 100 minutes: 30€ / 60 minutes: 21€ / 30 minutes: 12€. A non-internet cure of a week is better than you can imagine – so don’t let that break into your considerations!
What is included in the price? The cheapest price of 236€ includes all meals with non-alcoholic beverages and all activities on board.
What do I have to add extra? If you want to get booze, you can book for either 15€ or 23€ (Premium) a day alcohol all-inclusive. This will get you free beer, wine and spirits anytime (better spirits in the premium version). You may also get free drinks anytime you want. However, purchasing additional drinks at bars and restaurants is possible for fair prices, so you do not need to book the package.
Also, you can add insurance or healthcare for an additional fee – but you actually don’t need to considering the cheap prices.
What can I do on board? Besides connecting with your fellow libertarians and learning about liberty, you won’t get bored easily. Just have a look on the website of the ship to see what is possible!
Why so cheap? There must be something wrong... Well, there is nothing wrong. The cruise probably is a repositioning cruise, shifting the ship from Winter in Europe to Summer in the southern Hemisphere of South America. So the cruise will go anyway – and the company tries to get the ship full to minimise losing money.
Why do you wait
Don’t wait – book now! The opportunity is very popular and selling out rapidly. To connect with further liberty-minded people doing the cruise, join the Facebook-Event now! I am glad to answer any questions as well.
Please bear in mind that I cannot guarantee anything. You will book as an individual – what will happen on board is also depending on you. However, I am sure with many liberty-minded persons joining, we will have a great time on the Atlantic and afterwards in Brazil!
